Job summary

Siemens Industry in Grand Prairie, TX seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support production line operations, automation initiatives, and data-driven improvements. The role focuses on CapEx projects, process optimization, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve capability, standard work, and safety while integrating SCADA/MES and analytics tools on the shop floor. 5+ years of relevant experience and CAD proficiency are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial or related).
  • 5+ years experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a production environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with data collection, analysis and reporting (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
  • Lean manufacturing principles experience and fixture/equipment design.
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Proven ability to manage CapEx projects including business case development and implementation of production equipment.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve manufacturing capability, continuity, and standard work documentation.
  • Manage CapEx projects with business cases, budgeting, cost analysis, vendor selection, procurement and installation.
  • Apply Project Management to ensure timely delivery and stakeholder alignment for manufacturing improvements.
  • Apply Change Management tools for process changes such as equipment moves and floorplan modifications.
  • Collaborate with automation team and cross-functional partners to support robotic cells and tool controls.
  • Assist with integration of manufacturing technologies such as SCADA and MES.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to monitor performance, automate reporting, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Lead lean/Six Sigma projects focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.
  • Champion standardization, waste reduction, and process optimization across the site.
