Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation's JLG unit in Jefferson City, MO is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer Associate. You will provide hands-on engineering support to assembly operations, troubleshoot production issues, and help implement line improvements that boost safety, quality, and throughput.

You will work with Manufacturing Engineers, Production Supervisors and teams to develop work instructions, analyze downtime, and apply Lean/Six Sigma principles on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in operations, engineering, or related field.
• Internship or co-op in manufacturing is a plus.
• Experience with manufacturing work instructions.
• Familiarity with downtime tracking and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering support to assembly operations, troubleshooting production issues.
• Develop, maintain, and improve assembly work instructions.
• Track and analyze production downtime to identify trends and improvements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, supervisors, and teams to improve line efficiency.
• Evaluate processes, tooling, and resources to implement improvements.
• Support engineering changes, new product introductions, and process changes on the floor.
• Assist with design and implementation of tooling and fixtures.
• Apply Lean and continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve flow.
• Prepare basic engineering documents, layouts, drawings, and reports.
• Support projects and ensure timelines and requirements are met.
