ConMet’s Canton, NC plastics manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled, hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with excellent technical troubleshooting skills to support daily plant operations in an automotive environment. The role emphasizes assembly operations and driving efficiency across new and existing production lines.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering required.
- Manufacturing and Assembly processes experience and knowledge.
- CNC programming experience preferred, but not provided as training will be provided.
- Ultrasonic/Vibration Welding preferred, but not provided as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for daily plant operations in an Automotive environment.
- Primary focus on assembly operations
- Perform root cause analysis, process troubleshooting, and corrective action implementation, with a focus on preventing recurring production, quality, and equipment-related issues.
- Perform analysis of manufacturing operations and propose modifications to improve operational efficiency.
- Analyze workstations for improved ergonomics and safety.
- Analyze process flow and propose improvements for increased cost-efficiency.
- Develop cost-effective and robust production processes.
