Job summary
ConMet’s Canton, NC plastics manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled, hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a fast-paced automotive environment. You will support daily plant operations with a focus on assembly, analyze processes, and drive efficiency across new and existing production lines.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Industrial/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, hands-on manufacturing and assembly knowledge, and strong root-cause
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Manufacturing and Assembly processes experience.
- CNC programming experience preferred (training provided).
- Ultrasonic/Vibration Welding preferred (training provided).
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for daily plant operations in an Automotive environment.
- Primary focus on assembly operations.
- Perform root cause analysis, process troubleshooting, and corrective action implementation, focusing on preventing recurring production, quality, and equipment issues.
- Analyze manufacturing operations and propose modifications to improve efficiency.
- Analyze workstations for ergonomics and safety.
- Analyze process flow and propose improvements for cost-efficiency.
- Develop cost-effective and robust production processes.
