Freeform builds AI‑native manufacturing systems that unify software, hardware and physics to produce parts at speed. The Manufacturing Engineer will help scale production for high‑performance metal 3D printed parts and refine post‑processing and CNC workflows.

ideal candidates will have hands‑on manufacturing experience, familiarity with fixturing and tooling, and the drive to bridge R&D with production in a fast‑paced hardware environment. Remote work is not listed here.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Hands‑on manufacturing or build experience from internships or clubs (FSAE, Baja SAE, etc.).
• Experience with hand tools, machinery, or complex hardware assembly.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable manufacturing processes for new hardware and printed parts.
• Improve part flow by optimizing fixturing, test procedures, and post‑processing steps.
• Develop documentation and standards to support rapid production scaling.
• Build tooling, jigs, and test setups for high‑throughput production.
• Identify bottlenecks in materials, parts, and data movement; partner with cross‑functional teams to improve.
• Support early production of high‑performance printed parts and bridging R&D to manufacturing.
• Contribute to CNC machining workflows, including multi‑axis programming and setup.
