Job summary

Boom Supersonic is building the Overture supersonic airliner and is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer to own critical manufacturing problems from day one — on the shop floor, with real scope in engine assembly, machining, tooling, or process development.

You will work directly with machinists, technicians, and build engineers to improve processes, write work instructions, and partner with design to simplify parts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing experience in a shop, line, or hardware build.
• Track record of finishing hard things with tangible results.
• Curiosity about how things are made and how to design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Own a defined piece of the manufacturing operation with accountability for outcomes.
• Collaborate with machinists, technicians, and build engineers on the floor to solve problems.
• Build and improve processes, work instructions, and tooling for reliable hardware assembly.
• Partner with design engineering to simplify parts for manufacturability.
• Iterate quickly to identify and fix issues and move to the next challenge.
