Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead advanced manufacturing and process optimization across multiple plants. You will develop efficient methods, analyze workflows, manage routings and BOMs, and drive capital improvements through data-driven decisions.

Role requires strong CAD/CAM skills (SolidWorks) and GD&T expertise, with experience in ERP/MRP, OEE, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
Minimum 3 years hands-on manufacturing/metals experience.
Experience in industrial engineering methods and project management.
Proficiency with SolidWorks and GD&T standards.
Strong communication with production teams, vendors, and customers.
Advanced mechanical aptitude with quantitative skills and data interpretation.
Proficiency in MS Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and refine robust manufacturing methods for repeatability and scalability.
Analyze workflows and equipment using time studies, method engineering, SPC, and simulations.
Own routings, BOMs, work instructions, tooling specs, and blueprints.
Lead process capability and control limit analysis to drive quality improvements.
Lead structured problem solving using fishbone, 5 Whys, FMEA, VSM, JSA, 6S/5S.
Identify bottlenecks and champion Kaizen events to reduce cycle time and scrap.
Use discrete-event simulations or digital models to validate improvements.
Coach production teams and provide hands-on guidance for CI.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, and vendors to resolve issues.
