The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of manufacturing/engineering experience, a B.S. in engineering, hands-on machining exposure, and CNC process development skills.

• Analyze manufacturing data, quality records, workflows, equipment utilization, and production documentation.
• Recommend improvements to manufacturing methods, material handling, equipment layouts, machining processes, and production standards.
• Work directly with operators and cross-functional quality, operations, and design teams.
• Prepare engineering drawings, reports, process reviews, and other technical documentation.
• Support CNC programming and manufacturing process development.

Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer 4 in Pontiac, IL. The work will be 100% onsite, Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, with limited overtime as needed. This is a 12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $50/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer 4 will support manufacturing production processes and continuous process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, high-tolerance production environment. This is a highly hands‑on position, with approximately 70% of the role spent on the manufacturing floor and 30% in an office setting. The engineer will test and validate process improvements, work directly with operators to maintain production processes, and collaborate with quality, operations, and design teams.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10 years of relevant manufacturing/engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field preferred; comparable experience may be considered. Internships may count toward experience.
• Hands‑on experience in a manufacturing and machining environment.
• Experience with CNC programming and process development.
• Ability to create sketches, engineering drawings, and common engineering computations.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and technical reports.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with honing processes.
• Experience with OD/ID grinding and centerless grinding.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated manufacturing cells.
• CAD or other engineering design software experience.
• Experience supporting high‑tolerance manufacturing or machining operations.
