Job summary

CTS International seeks an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support the GFE Production Engineering team in San Antonio, TX. The role requires a Secret Clearance to Start and is 100% onsite with a 4x10 shift pattern (A shift Sun-Wed, B shift Wed-Sat).

The position is a 12+ month contract. Responsibilities include developing production methods, leading IPTs, and translating EBOM to MBOM while implementing lean practices to ensure production readiness and program success.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years manufacturing planning/engineering experience with electrical systems.
  • Experience with GOLD.
  • Bachelor's in STEM is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
  • Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
  • Translates design requirements Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM) into Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM).
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
  • Implements lean principles and technologies.
  • Reviews electrical design requirements and approves new releases and revisions to existing designs.

The GFE Production Engineering team is hiring an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support the technical statement of work in San Antonio, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
  • Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
  • Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
  • Implements lean principles and technologies.
  • Reviews electrical design requirements and approves new releases and revisions to existing designs.
  • Reviews and implements non-conformance requirements into shop floor work orders and supplier specifications.
  • Translates design requirements Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM) into Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) to create and maintain part demand within the program production system

Physical requirements:

  • Work in a factory environment and able to withstand those conditions (walking, going up and down steps and scaffolding)

12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.

  • 5+ years manufacturing planning/engineering experience with electrical systems
  • Experience with GOLD
  • Bachelor’s in STEM

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Company experience preferred
