Boeing in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a 1-year contract to support GFE Production Engineering. The role requires developing production methods, leading manufacturing plans, and ensuring producibility within EBOM/MBOM frameworks.

The candidate should have 5+ years in manufacturing planning/engineering, experience with GOLD, and a Bachelor’s in STEM. This contract position is through a Boeing-approved third party with onsite work in a factory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
  • Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
  • Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
  • Implements lean principles and technologies.
  • Reviews electrical design requirements and approves new releases and revisions to existing designs.
  • Reviews and implements non-conformance requirements into shop floor work orders and supplier specifications.
  • Translates design requirements Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM) into Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) to create and maintain part demand within the program production system.

The GFE Production Engineering team is hiring an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support the technical statement of work in San Antonio, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Physical requirements
  • Work in a factory environment and able to withstand those conditions (walking, going up and down steps and scaffolding)

Pay Rate Range

Min Pay Rate $65

Max Pay Rate $70
