About the role:

As a Manufacturing Engineer on 2nd or 3rd shift, you will provide off-shift engineering support for quality and equipment troubleshooting in critical plant processes.

You will report to the Lead Engineer and be located at Blairsville, PA. This role is 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide off-shift maintenance coordination for equipment breakdowns.
2. Provide task/project level updates to all relevant partners.
3. Develop and deliver presentations to communicate statuses, problem resolutions, and recommendations.
4. Apply engineering design and analysis for nuclear products/projects, including mechanical component design and understanding mechanical drawings.
5. Evaluate equipment and systems needed to accomplish goals.
6. Develop new processes and improve existing ones.
7. Monitor and correct quality issues related to manufacturing processes.
8. Analyze designs and implement improvements to reduce manufacturing costs.
9. Develop alternative solutions to ensure cost-effective operations.
10. Coordinate with Purchasing to source and develop new manufacturing sources.
11. Apply modern engineering principles such as lean manufacturing, six-sigma, and statistical process analysis to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
12. Recommend technological innovations in machinery and manufacturing techniques to solve complex problems.

Qualifications:

1. B.S. in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
2. At least 3 years of applicable manufacturing experience.
