Job summary

Safran Seats, Gainesville, TX, is seeking a Systems Engineer who will help document and manage engineering requirements for aerospace seating projects. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to collect, organize, and trace requirements, and participate in reviews with SMEs.

The role supports verification/validation tasks and helps prepare verification plans under senior guidance, contributing to on-time delivery and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year in an engineering-related field preferred.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering, requirements management or verification/validation.
  • Ability to translate product requirements into specifications under guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in documenting requirements for engineering projects and ensure traceability.
  • Support collection and organization of requirements from stakeholders.
  • Participate in requirements reviews with team members and SMEs.
  • Assist in tracking verification and validation tasks to meet timelines.
  • Prepare product verification plans under guidance from seniors.

  • Must have a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Material Science, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or 12 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Preferred 1 year of experience in an engineering-related field, Systems Engineering, Requirements Management or Requirements Validation and Verification.
  • Willing to learn how to translate product requirements into product specifications and assist with creating compliance matrices under guidance.
  • Basic ability to read and understand 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models, with support from senior team members.
  • Able to create simple written communications (e.g., emails, reports) and use standard office equipment (e.g., computer, printer).
  • Able to read and understand basic technical documents and instructions.
  • Possesses clear verbal communication skills in English to work effectively with the team.
