Job summary

Barnes Aerospace West Chester Division is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure products meet contractual, program, design, and quality requirements.

You will develop manufacturing processes and tools, create documentation, troubleshoot equipment, work with customers to define needs, lead capital projects, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven methods.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of engineering support in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, specifications, procedures and standards.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes and tools to meet contractual, program, design and quality requirements.
• Create manufacturing documentation including drawings, routings and work instructions.
• Disposition manufacturing non-conformances and determine causes and solutions.
• Troubleshoot machines and processes.
• Meet with customers to define their needs and determine the best solutions.
• Lead manufacturing capital procurement & implementation projects.
• Co-develop cost estimates for new process implementation and manufacturing quotes.
• Participate in design, manufacturing and test documentation reviews to ensure applicable contract, program, design and quality requirements are met.
• Lead continuous improvement projects in a team environment.

Barnes Aerospace, West Chester Division has an exciting career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to play an integral role in manufacturing operations. The right candidates will work closely with the manufacturing areas.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop manufacturing processes and tools to ensure products and services provided meet all contractual, program, design and quality requirements.
• Create manufacturing documentation including drawings, routings and work instructions.
• Disposition manufacturing non-conformances and determine causes and solutions.
• Troubleshoot machines and processes.
• Meet with customers to define their needs and determine the best solutions.
• Lead manufacturing capital procurement & implementation projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-3 years providing engineering support to a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient at reading, analyzing and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures and standards.
• Proficient with computer systems and basic software, experience with CAD (Solid Works, NX, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Proven track record of scheduling and organizing people and time effectively in order to complete assigned functions.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
