Description
Barnes Aerospace, West Chester Division has an exciting career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to play an integral role in manufacturing operations. The right candidates will work closely with the manufacturing areas.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop manufacturing processes and tools to ensure products and services provided meet all contractual, program, design and quality requirements.
- Create manufacturing documentation including drawings, routings and work instructions.
- Disposition manufacturing non-conformances and determine causes and solutions.
- Troubleshoot machines and processes.
- Meet with customers to define their needs and determine the best solutions.
- Lead manufacturing capital procurement & implementation projects.
- Co-develop cost estimates for new process implementation and manufacturing quotes.
- Participate in design, manufacturing and test documentation reviews to ensure applicable contract, program, design and quality requirements are met.
- Lead continuous improvement projects in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-3 years providing engineering support to a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient at reading, analyzing and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures and standards.
- Proficient with computer systems and basic software, experience with CAD (Solid Works, NX, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Proven track record of scheduling and organizing people and time effectively in order to complete assigned functions.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
