Job summary

Barnes Aerospace, West Chester Division in Ohio seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations and collaborate with production teams to meet contractual and quality requirements.

You will develop processes, create drawings and work instructions, disposition non-conformances, troubleshoot equipment, meet customers to define needs, lead capital projects, and contribute to continuous improvement in a team environment. Bachelor's in Engineering required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-3 years providing engineering support to a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient at reading, analyzing and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures and standards.
  • Proficient with computer systems and basic software, experience with CAD (SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Proven track record of scheduling and organizing people and time effectively to complete functions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes and tools to ensure products and services meet contractual, program, design and quality requirements.
  • Create manufacturing documentation including drawings, routings and work instructions.
  • Disposition manufacturing non-conformances and determine causes and solutions.
  • Troubleshoot machines and processes.
  • Meet with customers to define their needs and determine the best solutions.
  • Lead manufacturing capital procurement & implementation projects.
  • Co-develop cost estimates for new process implementation and manufacturing quotes.
  • Participate in design, manufacturing and test documentation reviews to ensure requirements are met.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects in a team environment.

Barnes Aerospace, West Chester Division has an exciting career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to play an integral role in manufacturing operations. The right candidates will work closely with the manufacturing areas.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop manufacturing processes and tools to ensure products and services provided meet all contractual, program, design and quality requirements.
  • Create manufacturing documentation including drawings, routings and work instructions.
  • Disposition manufacturing non-conformances and determine causes and solutions.
