Job summary

INNIO Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to implement and validate Jenbacher manufacturing processes from Austria into a new engine startup in Waukesha. The role collaborates with global engineering and operations to adapt processes for local production readiness and reports to the VP of RPS Engineering.

Deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget while upholding quality standards and supporting lean manufacturing initiatives across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
• 2–5+ years of hands-on engineering with project management.
• Experience with factory floor processes, fabrication, or capital improvements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute engineering projects from design to handover.
• Review drawings, BOMs, and technical specs for conformity.
• Facilitate FAT testing and track milestones and costs.
• Coordinate with global and local teams to ensure readiness.

We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for implementing and validating established Jenbacher manufacturing processes from the production plant in Jenbach, Austria into the new engine production startup in Waukesha. This role supports the successful transfer, localization, and ramp‑up of machining processes to ensure the Waukesha plant can reliably produce new Jenbacher engine components.

The engineer will work closely with global Jenbacher engineering and operations teams to understand existing processes, adapt them to the Waukesha environment, and ensure production readiness. This position will report to the VP of RPS Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Plan and track project phases from initial design and procurement to final construction and handover.
• Engineering Oversight: Review fabrication drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
• Testing: Facilitate FAT testing of equipment, track milestones, and forecast labor or material expenses.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Coordinate with operations, sales, quality control, and outside vendors.
• Process Improvement: Support lean manufacturing initiatives, workflow layouts, and equipment installations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 2 to 5+ years of hands‑on engineering experience combined with project management. Industrial production, mechanical fabrication, or capital plant improvements
• Technical Knowledge: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and CAD models alongside production software (ERP/MRP).
• Soft Skills: Clear verbal communication, leadership capabilities, and proactive problem‑solving.
