Job summary

International Motors, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for 1st Shift (Mon-Thu 5:30 PM - 4:00 PM) with flexibility for weekends. You will develop and maintain manufacturing processes, drive Lean initiatives, and coordinate with design engineering on new products to optimize cost and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or 2+ years of related manufacturing experience) and hands-on experience with machining, CAD tools, and tooling management. Equal opportunity employer.

  • Experience with Solidworks or equivalent CAD software; tooling setup and management.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and maintains methods and processes on the manufacturing floor.
  • Assist with creation of flow charts, PFMEA’s and product control plans.
  • Drive Lean principles and continuous improvement on the production floor; reduce waste, 5S.
  • Coordinate release of new products with design engineering.
  • Estimate manufacturing cost and determine time standards for tooling and processes.
  • Maintain records and reporting systems for manufacturing operations.

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer leverages subject-matter expertise to execute critical project work and drive operational decisions. This role applies a deep understanding of manufacturing principles alongside company policies to resolve complex, moderate-scope issues. Working under limited supervision, the Engineer exercises strong judgment within standard practices, builds productive cross-functional relationships, and requires only general guidance on routine work and strategic direction on new initiatives.

Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday through Thursday 5:30 PM - 4:00 PM, should be flexible to support special projects during weekends if needed.

Responsibilities
  • Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence, design and develop processes in the manufacturing floor and knowledge about fabrication of fixtures, jigs and other assembly aids. Should have knowledge about assembly of parts, components, sub assemblies and final assemblies, and assembly sequences.
  • Assist with creation of flow charts, PFMEA’s and product control plans and other documentation as needed.
  • Drive Lean principles and continuous improvement activities on production floor: improve processes, reduce waste, 5S.
  • Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products.
  • Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
  • Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
  • Lead or facilitate value stream mapping (VSM) events to identify waste and prioritize improvement opportunities across the value stream
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and no experience

  • At least 2 years of product manufacturing experience
