Job description

The Manufacturing Engineer leads and executes continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the reliability and performance of production lines. The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, support troubleshooting efforts, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and implement process improvements and cost‑saving initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to drive operational excellence.
  • Optimize manufacturing line performance to increase throughput and reduce downtime.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for equipment and process issues using structured problem‑solving methods.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data analysis to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist with capital projects, including equipment upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all manufacturing activities.
  • Support new product launches and process scale‑up to full production.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, technical records, and process standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to implement and sustain continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Ability to optimize processes for line efficiency, throughput improvement, and downtime reduction.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills using structured problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Capability in data analysis and KPI tracking to support performance monitoring and decision‑making.
  • Experience working in industrial production environments and understanding of manufacturing systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office for analysis, documentation, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline.
  • Internship, co‑op, or professional experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Exposure to CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Awareness of automation systems and PLCs is advantageous.
  • Experience with process engineering and root cause failure analysis.
  • Exposure to PLCs and automation systems is considered a nice‑to‑have.
  • Interest in professional development, mentorship, and skill‑building opportunities.

This role operates in a fast‑paced, high‑volume manufacturing setting with a strong hands‑on focus. The Manufacturing Engineer spends significant time on the production floor, working closely with operations, maintenance, and quality teams on continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives. Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 – $80000.00/yr. Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, DCSA. Work‑Life Balance: PTO and paid holidays.
