Job summary

Tulsa, OK-based Dover Corporation, a leader in winches and related systems, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer onsite to support new product development, cost data estimation, and process improvements. You will design fixtures, improve manufacturing methods, and manage capital project proposals to boost efficiency.

The role reports to Operations and requires a Bachelor's in engineering with 3–5 years of relevant experience, plus travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Manufacturing Engineering support to assigned areas, including day-to-day problem solving and maintenance of process documentation.
  • Creates and maintains method of manufacture documents.
  • Modifies process to improve safety, correct deficiencies and reduce production problems.
  • Reviews engineering drawings, makes feasibility assessments and provides estimated manufacturing costs.
  • Works with design engineering personnel and manufacturing resources to develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods.
  • Represents manufacturing interests and develops manufacturing plans in New Product Development Core Team meetings.
  • Writes proposals for capital projects to upgrade manufacturing efficiency and capabilities.
  • Manages execution of site improvement plans aligned with Dover’s Operational Model (0DOVER).
  • Reviews plant automated OEE system data and creates action plans to improve performance.

Manufacturing Engineer

This position reports to the Director, Operations with responsibilities to support new product development, to estimate and update manufacturing cost data, to design new manufacturing fixtures and tooling, and to make improvements to manufacturing processes to ensure quality products and efficient production.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree in engineering or related industry experience; 3 to 5 years successful experience, or equivalent successful combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to travel as required and /or directed.
