Job summary

Eaton’s Mission Systems Division in Orchard Park, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing cells for new and existing products. The role includes managing process documents, tooling, fixturing, and driving continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma.

You will work on safety, ergonomics, and MOC activities, generate and revise work instructions, identify tooling needs, and drive FPY/OPE improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or engineering technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • No relocation; reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY.
  • No immigration sponsorship offered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Safety, Ergonomics, and Management of Change activities to meet site safety goals.
  • Generate and revise Manufacturing Processes and Work Instructions.
  • Identify new tooling and maintain tooling, gauging, and test equipment.
  • Drive First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE) improvements.
  • Support proposal development and provide timely manufacturing issue resolution.
  • Work Cell Design, Integration and Validation.
  • Use Lean Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and variation; improve KPIs.

This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility.The Manufacturing Engineer will support manufacturing cells of new and existing products.
