Job summary

Singer Vehicle Design in Torrance, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive lean improvements and scale production for our Porsche 911 restorations.

In this onsite, salaried role, you’ll define assembly processes, manage BOMs, specify equipment needs, and collaborate with design and software teams for new product launches. Competitive pay and a rich benefits program reflect our “Everything is Important” philosophy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing)
• Three to five years in a similar role
• Strong understanding of BOMs, manufacturability, process design, process validation, assembly methods, design reviews and cost reduction methodologies

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead the development and optimization of Engineering projects such as cost savings, new processes, etc.
• Define and implement general assembly inline or end-of-line vehicle process requirements in collaboration with vehicle design, software, and integration teams for new product launches
• Identify, plan, and execute capital equipment, machine, and layout upgrades to meet production demand
• Create and manage manufacturing BOMs, work instructions, and specifications
• Develop and maintain manufacture and test planning for processes, products, and integration

• You will be a major contributor in defining manufacturing planning templates, own process definition, quality standards, and cost reduction initiatives

What You’ll Do

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing)
• Three (3) to five (5) years in a similar role
• Good understanding of BOMs, manufacturability, process design, process validation, assembly methods, design reviews and cost reduction methodologies
• Demonstrated results with lean principles, VSM, 5S, etc.
• Root Cause and Corrective Action experience

Location & Schedule:

This position is onsite in Torrance, CA. It is a salaried role, but the general schedule is 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

The starting pay range for this position is between $72,384.00 - $156,515.00 annually, plus bonus. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
