  • Strong Linux command-line skills for system- and board-level analysis.
  • Hands-on knowledge of PCBA manufacturing and soldering.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team for conducting the functional test for the incoming Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) products, implement Engineering Change Order, model conversion, etc. The candidate is responsible for daily operation of quality control for Supermicro products, isolate and analyze the defective PCBA products, prepare the report and work with QA team for quality improvement. The candidate can work efficiently in the fast-paced production environment to meet dynamic sale demand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists in capacity and resource planning for the production lines, designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budget to improve efficiency.
  • Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space and tooling requirements, and designs the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to recommend manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Effectively utilize lean manufacturing tools for continuously improve the flow of material and information in the factory, including factory layouts and visual management.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred
  • 1-2 years of practical working experience within the electronics industry.
  • Proficient in using laboratory diagnostic tools, specifically oscilloscopes and multimeters, to perform comprehensive hardware failure analysis.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams, alongside a solid understanding of fundamental electronic design principles.
  • Solid understanding of computer and server architectures, combined with the ability to use Linux command-line tools for system-level and board-level failure detection/analysis.
  • Practical knowledge of the PCBA manufacturing process, including hands-on capability to perform basic component-level soldering
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for documenting technical reports and collaborating with team members.


Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance andbe prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$83,000 - $100,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
