Job summary

Comrise is seeking Senior Manufacturing Engineers to support New Product Introduction projects for the Service organization. The roles involve developing manufacturing, inspection, testing, and repair processes and equipment for new medical device products prior to launch.

You'll read engineering drawings, create work instructions, and validate fixtures. You will work with operators, engineers, and project managers, manage multiple projects, troubleshoot problems, and contribute to vision

Qualifications

• Strong manufacturing engineering background.
• Experience with custom fixtures, equipment, or test equipment development.
• Ability to read engineering drawings/prints.
• Experience creating manufacturing work instructions and inspection procedures.
• Strong technical documentation and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and drive tasks to completion.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Experience working with manufacturing/production lines, assemblers, or operators is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, assemble, build, and test custom manufacturing and inspection equipment/fixtures.
• Read engineering drawings/prints and support fixture and equipment validation testing.
• Create and release manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, and process documentation.
• Work closely with manufacturing operators, assemblers, engineers, project managers, and production teams.
• Create and release internal component prints based on supplier-designed components, identifying critical dimensions and specifications for inspection.
• Support 3-6 projects simultaneously and independently organize and manage assigned work.
• Troubleshoot and solve engineering/manufacturing problems with minimal supervision.
• Support development of Vision inspection systems using cameras for cosmetic/image quality inspection.
• Automated functional test equipment to verify product functionality.
• Smart analysis/repair systems that use inspection results to determine required repairs.

Role Overview

Seeking Senior Manufacturing Engineers to support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects for the Service organization. The engineers will develop manufacturing, inspection, testing, and repair processes/equipment for new medical device products before they launch.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, assemble, build, and test custom manufacturing and inspection equipment/fixtures.
• Read engineering drawings/prints and support fixture and equipment validation testing.
• Create and release manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, and process documentation.

• Programming may be used to develop software for automated functional testing and custom fixtures/equipment.

Preferred / Relevant Background

• Medical device experience is a plus, not required.
• Strong transferable experience may come from Electronics, Semiconductor, Aerospace, Automotive, or other highly regulated or complex manufacturing environments
• Experience with electronic consoles, PCBs/PCBAs, camera systems, optics, imaging, or vision systems is highly relevant.
• Experience with medical-grade handheld camera systems or imaging products is a strong plus.
