Job summary

Zap Surgical Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to shape mid-volume production of the ZAP-X platform. You will drive assembly/test processes, DFx improvements, and manufacturing documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

You will collaborate with R&D, support supplier actions, train production staff, and help install systems at customer sites, with some travel nationwide.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or related field.
  • 5-7 years manufacturing engineering experience.
  • At least 3 years in medical devices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Experience with SolidWorks.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as liaison with R&D in releasing new products and DFx.
  • Modify/design mechanical assemblies, layouts, and drawings.
  • Defines, develops, and documents assembly and test procedures.
  • Create an efficient mid-volume manufacturing line and refine BOMs/workflows.
  • Provide product training and support to production and field personnel.
  • Reviews and maintains product documents including specs and BOMs.
  • Manages supplier corrective actions to eliminate material non-conformances.
  • Performance failure analysis and support at customer sites with some travel.
