Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Duration: 12+ months – Possible Extension
Location: Redmond, WA
Pay Range: $70-$80/hr on W2 (As per experience)
Job Description:

Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain all manufacturing artifacts (MBOM, Routing, Work Order Template, Work Instructions, etc.).
Production Test equipment design, procurement, installation, and qualification
- Material flow planning and manufacturing process definition
- Ability to support space hardware testing, including tooling design and data analysis
- Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles to optimize production processes and test efficiency
- Experience with designing test cases for functional, performance, and stress testing in hardware systems
- Knowledge of data logging techniques and handling large data sets from test campaigns along with proficiency in processing test results including visualizations and analysis, using scripting tools or external data analysis software
- Familiarity with test equipment error logs and troubleshooting hardware and software integration problems
- Strong organizational, analytical, root cause analysis and problem solving skills.
- Become the subject matter expert in the build and test processes of manufacturing and testing of Space HW
- Serve as the catalyst to un-block and improve production processes through direct production support with Test Systems testing, troubleshooting, process improvement activities, and training.
- Conceptualize, design, develop, and improve production test processes (assembly, integration, test processes).
- Serve as primary technical interface to development team and Production teams for the improvements in the Test Systems rate ramp, participating as the lead technical voice from the Test System Org in Design Reviews, key technical escalations, and new product development activities.
- Support the capacity increase roadmap for production including defining the relevant capital equipment required for rate increase and helping to lead the design, procurement, install, and qualification of new rate enabling equipment.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aerospace/Industrial/Electrical) or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 7+ year experience with integrating, testing and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems
- 5+ year experience with Computer Aided Design tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics
- Technical writing experience, including work instructions, standard operating procedures and/or test plans
- - Develop and maintain all manufacturing artifacts (MBOM, Routing, Work Order Template, Work Instructions, etc.).
- Familiarity with High Velocity, Manufacturing Environments & New Product Introduction
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices & principles
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis Techniques such as Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC, or related technologies/processes
- Familiar with QTP/ATP, functional testing, and/or environmental testing such as thermal, acoustic, or vibe.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training/certification in Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.) a plus.
