Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations and drive process improvement in a modern manufacturing environment. You will collaborate across production, quality, and engineering to identify opportunities, collect data, implement countermeasures, and track results.

The successful candidate will analyze data, develop reports, and address root causes while maintaining documentation such as control plans and FMEAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred; internships or co-ops may be considered.
• Open to entry-level engineers with 0–3 years of experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Able to work on the manufacturing floor and interact with personnel.
• Organized, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Comfortable collecting, analyzing, and presenting manufacturing data.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; ERP familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support production through process and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with production teams to identify issues, collect data, and improve processes.
• Monitor OEE, scrap, downtime, and production performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze data, develop reports, and implement solutions to address root causes.
• Track improvement activities and verify the effectiveness of implemented changes.
• Maintain manufacturing documentation, including control plans, FMEAs, work standards, and check sheets.
• Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and management teams to resolve issues.
• Support safety, quality, environmental, and workplace organization initiatives.
• Participate in production and cross-functional meetings.
• Assist with additional engineering and manufacturing projects as needed.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations and drive process improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working hands‑on with production teams, analyzing data, identifying process issues, and developing solutions that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and overall performance.

The successful candidate will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to identify opportunities for improvement, collect and analyze data, implement countermeasures, and track results.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred; internships, co-ops, or academic hands‑on experience may be considered.
• Open to entry‑level engineers and candidates with approximately 0–3 years of professional experience.
• Previous engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively on the manufacturing floor and interact with production personnel.
• Organized, proactive, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable collecting, analyzing, and presenting manufacturing data.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to PLCs, industrial equipment, or manufacturing automation.
• Experience with process or continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with FMEAs, control plans, work standards, check sheets, and other manufacturing quality tools.
• Experience analyzing OEE, scrap, downtime, or other production metrics.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment or processes.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, organized, and motivated engineer who enjoys being on the manufacturing floor and working directly with production teams. They should be comfortable asking questions, investigating why processes are not performing as expected, analyzing data, and helping implement practical solutions.

Strong communication and collaboration skills are important, along with the ability to manage multiple improvement activities and follow projects through to completion.

Work Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• Typical start times may range between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM
