Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, improve, and sustain production processes, delivering high-quality products efficiently, safely, and at optimal cost. The role links product design to manufacturing, applying new technologies and Lean principles to resolve equipment issues and streamline workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or electrical engineering.
  • Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks or AutoCAD), PLC programming, and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, project management, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Process Improvement: Evaluate and refine production methods to boost efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce costs.
  • Production Planning: Develop workflows, arrange equipment layouts, and establish assembly processes for new and existing products.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix equipment problems while addressing production bottlenecks.
  • Quality Control: Create and maintain quality standards, including testing and inspection procedures.
  • Equipment Management: Identify, install, and validate new manufacturing equipment.
  • Collaboration: Partner with design, R&D, and leadership teams to move products from prototype to full-scale production.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all processes meet health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
