Job summary

You will lead process improvements, optimize workflows, and implement automation to boost quality and efficiency. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; Six Sigma/Lean certification preferred.
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing engineering role within a factory setting.
• Strong CAD knowledge: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo; CAM programming experience.
• Hands-on with automation systems including PLCs, robotics, CNC, and welding/fabrication.
• Familiarity with GD&T and ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Duties

• Develop, evaluate, and refine manufacturing processes using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to design efficient layouts and tooling.
• Lead project scheduling efforts to coordinate cross-functional teams in executing process improvements and new product launches.
• Perform root cause analysis on production issues, utilizing engineering troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve defects swiftly.
• Program and maintain industrial automation systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, CNC machines, and vision inspection systems.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive waste reduction, process optimization, and quality enhancement initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams on assembly line setup, fabrication techniques, welding procedures, and plastics injection molding processes.
• Analyze engineering data to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), support continuous improvement projects, and ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing are preferred.
• Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within a factory setting.
• Strong knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and CAM programming for machining processes.
• Hands-on experience with process engineering including capital projects, robotics programming, CNC machining, welding, and fabrication.
• Familiarity with industrial automation systems like PLCs and vision inspection systems; ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
• Skilled in project management with the ability to coordinate schedules effectively across teams; experience with factory experience is highly valued.
• Excellent analytical skills for engineering data analysis; adept at root cause analysis and implementing process improvements using Six Sigma tools.
• Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in assembly line operations and factory environment protocols.
