Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Ocala, FL to develop and implement manufacturing processes, layouts, and procedures for assemblies and equipment.

You will drive adoption of new technologies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve quality. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, plus 3+ years in CAPA and 5+ years in electromechanical assemblies, with 3+ years in PR/MRB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college.
• 3+ years of experience driving robust Corrective Actions Root Cause and Corrective Action.
• 5+ years of experience with electromechanical assemblies.
• 3+ years of experience with PR/MRB process (PR/QMRB certification preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes and layouts for assemblies and equipment.
• Drive adoption of new technologies to improve efficiency, cost and quality.
• Create and analyze 3D model data to optimize processes and digital work instructions.
• Define operation procedures and sequences to enhance operational excellence.
• Evaluate equipment performance and investigate deficiencies to drive improvements.
• Use factory data to develop statistical process control and analytics for continuous improvement.
• Provide input to product design regarding equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Manufacturing Engineer

Pay Range: $45-53

• Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
• Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.
• Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence.
• Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence.
• Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
• Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Required Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college.
• Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience driving robust Corrective Actions Root Cause and Corrective Action
• Candidate must have at least 5 years of experience with electo-mechanical assemblies
• Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience with PR/MRB process (PR/QMRB certification preferred)

Desired Skills

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Experience with PR/MRB process (PR/QMRB certification preferred)
• Understands lean manufacturing and quality optimization in a production environment
• Experience with SAP, Apriso, and Windchill
• Excellent process development and documentation skills. (MS Office)
• Experienced with visual based work instructions (creating and providing feedback)
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Circuit card manufacturing experience
• Cable and Harness Manufacturing experience
