Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group in New Haven, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize processes, lead lean initiatives, and support equipment upgrades onsite. You will drive root-cause analyses, document standards, and collaborate across teams to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and 2–5+ years’ hands-on experience with lean methods, metal machining, SPC, and problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/ Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • 2–5+ years hands-on Manufacturing Engineer experience.
  • Knowledge of lean principles (Kanban, Poka‑Yoke, JIT, VSM).
  • Experience with metal machining processes and tool design.
  • Practical understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control).
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process standards.
