Job description

We're partnering with a leading global equipment manufacturer seeking a Manufacturing Engineerto support production of specialty mobile elevating work platforms and heavy equipment in an active, cross-functional manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Participate in the installation and sequencing of machines, workstations, tools, and supplies to optimize production efficiency
  • Study manufacturing methods, product design, and assembly processes to suggest layouts that enhance productivity
  • Gather and analyze process data — cycle times, measurements, test results — to support statistical process control, cost analysis, and planning
  • Research design proposals and recommend modifications that minimize waste and cost
  • Partner cross-functionally with Design Engineers, Project Engineers, and manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges on the shop floor
  • Conduct periodic inspections across assembly, welding, and machine operations

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Engineering Technology, Civil, or Aeronautical), ABET accredited
  • Strong communication skills — this is an active, engaged role working directly with engineering, production, and shop-floor teams across all backgrounds
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude — comfort troubleshooting physical components, not just designing at a desk
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent CAD software preferred
  • Hands-on CNC experience (lathes/mills) and familiarity with GMAW welding processes/welding robotics preferred
  • Ability to learn and apply Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time, and Total Quality Management principles

This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer to join a growing team, gain broad hands-on manufacturing experience across every stage of production, and grow into new areas as the department evolves — plus relocation assistance is available for candidates outside the area.
