Job summary

Zolon Tech Inc. in Menomonee Falls, WI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our manufacturing team at the plant, onsite. You will work on stamping and assembly processes, design control systems, and lead continuous improvement projects.

You will implement new machines and tooling, train staff, develop standard work, manage process documentation, analyze data to reduce waste, and drive cost reductions while ensuring quality and safety across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Manufacturing Design Engineering.
• Experience in stamping, assembly, automation, PLC programming, welding, and machining is a plus.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MS Office; understanding of GD&T is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design control systems and production processes to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Implement new machines, dies, tooling, and assembly equipment.
• Train staff for new processes and provide detailed instructions and manuals.
• Manage process documentation and produce production reports.
• Measure variances, identify out-of-control processes, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct cost studies and analyze workforce utilization and facility layout.
• Test tooling and establish standard data for production processes.
• Recommend improvements to lower manufacturing costs and material waste.
• Document studies and recommendations and participate in new product launches.

Job Description:

The client is a manufacturer of custom-designed stampings and stamped assemblies for a variety of automotive and industrial customers. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering team in our Menomonee Falls Plant.

Essential Job functions/Duties:

• Designing control systems and production processes to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and establish standard rates.
• Implementation of new machines, dies, tooling, and assembly equipment.
• Training staff for new processes and providing detailed instructions and manuals
• Manage process documentation and prepare production reports.
• Measure variances to standards, identify out-of-control manufacturing processes, investigate root cause, develop sustainable corrective actions, implement corrective actions, and monitor results.
• Conduct cost comparison studies; analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs and production routing procedures.
• Test, observe, and visually inspect tooling used in the production process to determine and establish standard data for production processes.
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiencies and reduce waste of materials and utilities, and lower manufacturing costs.
• Process all necessary documentation and maintain records of studies and recommendations for improvements.
• Participate in new product launch process to assist in process design for cost-effective, error-free manufacturing.

Education and/or Experience:

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Design Engineering
• Experience in stamping, assembly, automation, PLC programming, welding, and machining would be a plus.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, MS Office, and AutoCAD. An understanding of GD&T would be a plus.
