Job summary

Network Recruiting is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in the Milwaukee area to develop, implement, and improve production processes. You will bridge design engineering and the production floor to introduce new products and modify existing lines, ensuring production capability, quality, safety, and cost control.

The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, process improvement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering and 1 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering (3.0+ GPA if under 3 years).
• Proficient CAD skills including Creo/Pro-E; strong Excel, Word, Access knowledge.
• Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, support, and lead introduction of products to the manufacturing floor; manage integration of new products into existing lines.
• Develop Operation Method Standards for assembly processes.
• Apply Lean concepts to reduce waste and improve efficiency in manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot production line problems and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
• Lead design initiatives within the manufacturing process, including line/cell layouts and tooling.

As the link between design engineering and the production floor you provide the manufacturing expertise needed to implement the production of new products as well as processing changes to existing products. This position is responsible for maintaining production capability, improving quality, reducing cost, improving safety, and maximizing throughout. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

What you will be doing:

• Plan, support, and lead introduction of products to the manufacturing floor. Manages the integration of new products into existing lines with an understanding of new processes effect online balance, pFMEA, and line efficiency.
• Develop Operation Method Standards (i.e. how best to assemble products)
• Uses advanced understanding of Lean Concepts and continuous improvement needed for reduction of waste within manufacturing processes
• Troubleshoot production line problems
• Lead initiatives that mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance and reduce costs
• Lead design initiatives within the manufacturing process, including line / cell layout, tooling, and part flow
• Capital equipment justification
• Work to advance safety and ergonomic practices

What they are looking for

• BS Engineering and 1 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering (if under 3 years' experience 3.0+ GPA is needed)
• Proficient computer skills including CAD (Creo / Pro-E would be great), Word, Excel, and Access
• Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma
• Any experience with production line layout would be very helpful
