Job summary

Knauf Insulation North America is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support plant operations across North America. You will collect and analyze data, optimize processes, and troubleshoot shop-floor issues while working with cross-functional teams.

Relocation to different plants every 9–12 months may be required to provide exposure to multiple sites. Ideal candidates have an engineering degree and hands-on experience with process improvement, quality assurance and KPI tracking.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Industrial or Mechanical field is required.
  • Experience in manufacturing or process improvement is preferred.
  • Willingness to relocate across North America every 9–12 months for plant exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze and present data to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
  • Update training documentation and monitor KPIs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to refine processes and improve reliability.
  • Link manufacturing performance to business needs via Safety, Environmental Controls, Production KPIs, SOPs and Lean tools.

About the Role:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple disciplines within Knauf plants. You may work in various areas of plant operations, supporting production lines to optimise processes and troubleshoot shop-floor issues.

Typical responsibilities include hands-on data collection to support continuous improvement, documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and quality assurance.

To provide exposure to these disciplines, relocation to different plants across North America may be required every 9 to 12 months.

Responsibilities
Technical Responsibilities:
  • Collect, analyze and present data to optimize processes to reach efficient cycle times, effective maintenance routines, reliable equipment performance, improve material flow, identify waste and bottle necks, these in order to ensure the best product quality, efficiency of processes and repeatability while being cost effective.
  • Update training documentation to support operator competency and alignment to process changes. Monitors impact of asset operational routines through established KPIs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to refine processes, enhance process control systems, and improve reliability and output consistency.
  • Link manufacturing performance and product quality by understanding the business needs via Safety, Environmental Controls, Production KPIs, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, ISO Standards, Lean CI Tools and Best Practices

Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or a related technical field) is required
