Synerfac Inc. in Latrobe, PA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve injection molding processes, troubleshoot production issues, and drive DFMA-based NPI initiatives.

The role emphasizes lean work-cell layouts, ergonomics, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Operations to transition new projects into productive operations.

Mansioni

• Understand injection molding, process control, machine and mold capability.
• Serve as advanced troubleshooter when machine, tool, process, or inter-related problems develop during production runs.
• Act as manufacturing representative in New Product Introduction and Development teams providing Design For Manufacturability expertise.
• Recommend, participate in and execute continuous improvement projects in support of company objectives.
• Assist in developing work cell layouts utilizing ergonomics and lean tools to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Provide machine, process, and material expertise in investigations and preventive actions involving customer complaints.
• Collaborate with Engineering as new projects are developed to operate and maintain equipment and assist with the transition from Engineering to Operations.
• Assist and train operational personnel in setup and operation of new equipment and automation within work cells.
• Maintain all necessary documentation for projects to meet current specifications and procedures.
• Interact with customer representatives to understand the voice of the customer.
• Coordinate modifications to tooling and auxiliary equipment to improve molding process.
• Validate processes per customer and internal requirements.
• Support special projects as required by Manager.
• Continually improve skills by taking appropriate training courses as necessary.
• Perform other tasks related to manufacturing, engineering, and estimating as assigned.

Job Duties

• Must be capable of understanding injection molding, process control, machine capability, mold capability, material processing and auxiliary equipment operations.
• Serves as an advanced troubleshooter when machine, tool, process, or inter-related problems develop during production runs.
• Serve as the manufacturing representative in New Product Introduction and Development teams providing Design For Manufacturability expertise to assure seamless integration of new projects.
