Molex Aerospace & Defense Solutions (ADS) seeks an Electronics Assembler in Camarillo, CA to build, inspect, and document electronic products and subassemblies for high-reliability markets. You will follow drawings, BOMs, and approved processes while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have exposure to IPC workmanship and experience with assembly in regulated environments, with a readiness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Molex Aerospace & Defense Solutions (ADS) is seeking an Electronics Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Camarillo, California. In this role, you will assemble, inspect, and document electronic products and subassemblies used in high-reliability applications across commercial, aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. You will play a critical role in ensuring products are built to exact specifications while meeting quality, delivery, and safety requirements.

Molex ADS designs and manufactures advanced interconnect, electronic, and RF solutions that support mission-critical applications around the world. Our Camarillo facility specializes in the production of high-performance electronic assemblies, serving customers who rely on exceptional quality, reliability, and precision. As part of our manufacturing team, you will work alongside skilled operators, technicians, engineers, and quality professionals committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What You Will Do
  • Assemble electronic products and subassemblies using engineering drawings, work instructions, bills of material (BOMs), and approved process documentation.
  • Install electronic components, hardware, cables, and mechanical assemblies while meeting quality and workmanship standards.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, microscopes, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform in-process inspections to verify conformance to product specifications and workmanship requirements.
  • Identify and report material discrepancies, workmanship concerns, and documentation issues.
  • Complete production travelers, work orders, and manufacturing records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow ESD controls, product handling requirements, and preservation processes.
  • Support daily production objectives while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.
  • Comply with all applicable quality, environmental, regulatory, ITAR, and export control requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and operational performance.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
  • Ability to interpret assembly drawings and related production documentation.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and manufacturing systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work under magnification or a microscope when required.
  • Ability to work in an ITAR-compliant manufacturing environment.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Previous electronic assembly, electromechanical assembly, or manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of IPC workmanship standards (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or similar).
  • Understanding of ESD controls and electronic product handling requirements.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment supporting aerospace, defense, medical, or industrial products.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new assembly processes and products.
  • Soldering experience and familiarity with electronic components and assemblies.
  • IPC certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger movements.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to perform detailed assembly work using microscopes and precision tools.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to inspect small components and identify workmanship defects.
