Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation's Scientech unit in Idaho Falls seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to bridge engineering design and production and drive efficient, reliable assembly processes. You will transfer requirements to ERP item masters, maintain hourly estimates, and support cost inputs for proposals.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, standard work development, QA collaboration, and supplier support while ensuring compliance with QA and export controls. Onsite requirement applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related engineering field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD or similar program.

Responsibilities

• Transfer and ownership of engineering drawings and product requirements to ERP item master records, BOMs, and routing in the ERP system.
• Develop manufacturing techniques including tooling, fixturing, and processes for electrical and mechanical assembly.
• Provide technical support to assembly and repair personnel in manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Review non-conformance reports and coordinate disposition with QA and operations.
• Provide input to cost estimates and assess technical requirements for manufacturing processes for new proposals.
• Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives related to product design and manufacturing.
• Develop standard work instructions, processes and procedures.
• Research obsolete components and determine suitable replacements for procurement.
• Evaluate vendor scope of work, drawings, and specs for conformance and supplier support.
• Reduce costs by improving production processes and work instructions.
• Provide input to design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Ensure all work complies with QA programs and establish safe work procedures.
• Initiate actions to correct substandard conditions.
