Skyeton, Inc. in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a manufacturing engineer to translate engineering drawings and BOMs into precise work instructions for UAV components.

You will drive factory-flow improvements, collaborate with QA/QC to ensure quality for warfighters, and maintain ISO 9001/AS9100 compliant documentation. You will partner with design engineering for manufacturability, identify tooling needs, and support corrective actions for non-conformances while participating in production scaling

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or defense industries.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering technical drawings and BOMs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, cable drawings, mechanical part and assembly drawings

Responsibilities

• To build highly automated, long-endurance UAV platforms capable of operating in the most demanding environments to support defense, security, infrastructure monitoring, disaster response, and other critical missions.

What you'll do

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) manufacturing.
• Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing facility.
• Experience working on Department of War (DoW) contracts.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with Altium or Solidworks
• Strong background in one or multiple of the following: composite manufacturing, machining, cable and pcb manufacturing, mechanical assembly
• J-STD-001 soldering certified
