Job summary

Skyeton Inc. is seeking a manufacturing engineer to translate engineering drawings and BOMs into precise manufacturing work instructions.

You will drive process improvements to optimize factory flow and reduce build times, while partnering with QA/QC to ensure high-quality products for warfighters. Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new and existing products and identify tooling, fixturing, and process solutions to scale production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and BOMs is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality; excellent cross-functional communication.

• To build highly automated, long-endurance UAV platforms capable of operating in the most demanding environments to support defense, security, infrastructure monitoring, disaster response, and other critical missions.

What you'll do

• Translate engineering technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) into digestible, detailed work instructions for manufacturing UAS components.
• Drive manufacturing process improvements focused on factory flow optimization and reduced build time.
• Work closely with QA/QC to deliver consistent, quality products to warfighters.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation in compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 standards.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new and existing products.
• Identify and implement tooling, fixturing, and process solutions to support production scaling.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes for manufacturing non-conformances.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or defense industries.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering technical drawings and BOMs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, cable drawings, mechanical part and assembly drawings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) manufacturing.
• Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing facility.
• Experience working on Department of War (DoW) contracts.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with Altium or Solidworks
• Strong background in one or multiple of the following: composite manufacturing, machining, cable and pcb manufacturing, mechanical assembly
• J-STD-01 soldering certified
