Job summary

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a growing window manufacturing company in Elkhart, IN, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a direct hire opportunity. This permanent role focuses on driving process improvements, lean initiatives, and manufacturing efficiency on the shop floor.

You will lead CI projects, optimize processes and equipment layouts, collaborate across production, quality, maintenance, and leadership, and support new product launches with data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous manufacturing engineering experience required.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with process optimization, tooling, and production equipment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering-related software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and other process improvement methodologies
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout production operations
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
• Evaluate equipment, tooling, and plant layouts to optimize workflow and output
• Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and engineering standards
• Support new product launches, equipment installations, and process validations
• Track and analyze production metrics to drive data-based decision making
• Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel
