TouchTronics, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Elkhart, Indiana. This onsite, full-time role focuses on evaluating designs for manufacturability and guiding product development toward scalable manufacturing solutions.

You will troubleshoot production issues, lead validation from concept to release, and ensure quality and efficiency across processes. The position emphasizes Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least four years of Manufacturing or Electronics Engineering experience in product validation, repair, troubleshooting, or process improvement.

Your Impact

As our Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

• Evaluate new product designs for manufacturability, production readiness, and ease of assembly.
• Influence product development by recommending practical, efficient, and scalable manufacturing solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex product and production issues and implement effective corrective actions.
• Lead product validation for new products and enhanced features from concept through production release.
• Ensure products meet quality standards, customer requirements, and manufacturing expectations before launch.
• Design, build, repair, and coordinate the calibration of electrical test fixtures, manufacturing fixtures, and production tooling.
• Create and review schematics, blueprints, service manuals, work instructions, and technical product materials.
• Partner with Quality and Production to implement and sustain product and process improvements.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve quality, safety, efficiency, and output.
• Use performance data and KPIs to drive measurable, ongoing improvements.
• Apply Lean principles, 5S, Six Sigma concepts, and modern manufacturing practices.
• Mentor team members and help strengthen technical capabilities throughout the operation.
• Support a clean, safe, and sustainable manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate across departments to advance critical engineering and business priorities.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• At least four years of Manufacturing Engineering or Electronics Engineering experience involving product validation, research, repair, troubleshooting, or process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of electronic board components, finished electronic products, test fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing equipment.
• Experience creating schematics, analyzing processes, interpreting data, and reading blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, planning, and project‑management abilities.
• Knowledge of smart systems, sensor technology, and smart controls.
• Experience using CAD software, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with ISO or quality systems, workplace safety, Lean manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma is preferred.
• Ability to manage KPIs and translate performance data into practical improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information and train others.

Physical and Work Requirements

This position works in both office and manufacturing environments and requires the use of computers, CAD‑related technology, hand tools, machinery, and test equipment. The employee must be able to read and interpret technical materials and perform activities that may include standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting or carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. Appropriate personal protective equipment may be required in manufacturing and warehouse areas. Travel of up to 20% may be required.
