Job summary

Groupe SEGULA Technologies SA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead and support manufacturing process implementations, train staff, and provide technical engineering support in a production facility.

You will drive process changes, improve material flow with Lean principles, and coordinate changes with engineering and materials teams to ensure launch readiness and continuous improvement across operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support manufacturing process trials and provide engineering support for production to ensure stable operations.
  • Establish and maintain production methods, standards, tooling, and equipment for assigned products and processes.
  • Drive safety, ergonomics, and efficiency improvements through process changes.
  • Collaborate with Materials and cross-functional teams to optimize material flow using Lean principles.
  • Coordinate engineering change implementation with balance of work timing, processes, and manpower.
  • Partner with Engineering and Materials teams for design reviews, process development, prototypes, and launch readiness.
  • Identify and implement Lean Six Sigma improvements to enhance quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Analyze assembly operations and push continuous improvement via data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Develop and maintain accurate production time standards (MTM/MOST).
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards, plant procedures, and compliance across processes.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and manpower optimization through process design and assembly changes.
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior Manufacturing Engineers as needed.
  • Lead and execute engineering programs within area of responsibility to meet production and business goals.
  • Interface with plant personnel to achieve production targets and manpower balance.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to lead and support the implementation of manufacturing processes, provide training, and deliver technical engineering support within the production facility. This role is responsible for evaluating and establishing appropriate manpower levels and workforce placement, developing and maintaining process methods and standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position ensures effective implementation of process changes to support daily manufacturing goals, operational efficiency, and overall production performance.

Core Responsibilities
  • Process Trials & Production Support: Lead and support new process trials and provide engineering support for current production to ensure stable, efficient manufacturing operations.

  • Tooling & Standards: Establish and maintain optimal production methods, standards, tooling, and equipment for assigned products and processes.

  • Safety & Ergonomics: Drive manufacturing safety, ergonomics, and efficiency improvements through process changes and continuous safety initiatives.

  • Material Flow Optimization: Collaborate with Materials and cross-functional teams to optimize material flow, organization, and placement using Lean principles.

  • Engineering Change Implementation: Coordinate implementation of new products and engineering changes, ensuring proper balance of work timing, processes, and manpower requirements.

  • Design Reviews & Launch Readiness: Partner with Engineering and Materials teams to conduct manufacturing design reviews and support process development, prototype builds, and launch readiness.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify, implement, and standardize process improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance.

  • Assembly Analysis: Analyze assembly operations and drive continuous improvement through data analysis, structured problem-solving, and the application of lean manufacturing.

  • Time Standards Development: Develop and maintain accurate production standards using predetermined time systems (e.g., MTM/MOST).

  • Standards & Compliance: Ensure adherence to engineering standards, plant procedures, and compliance requirements across all assigned processes.

  • Cost & Manpower Optimization: Identify and execute opportunities for cost reduction and manpower optimization through process design and assembly configuration improvements.

  • Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior Manufacturing Engineers as needed, supporting their development.

  • Program Execution: Lead and execute engineering programs within the area of responsibility to meet production, timing, and business objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface and collaborate with plant personnel to achieve production targets, manpower balance, and operational goals.
