Job summary

Swagelok Denver is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to collaborate with sales, fabricators, and management to develop Custom Solutions quotations, BOMs, routings, and manufacturing documents for assemblies.

You will draft drawings in SOLIDWORKS, create quote documents, and communicate with customers on status, while learning client needs and driving lean manufacturing improvements. Strong CAD, P&ID, and SAP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; Mechanical or Industrial preferred.
• Experience creating and maintaining BOMs and routings.
• 2–5 years SAP (MRP) experience.
• SOLIDWORKS, CAD and P&ID knowledge preferred.
• Strong written and spoken communication; good time management.

Responsibilities

• Draft assembly drawings using SOLIDWORKS from inputs and P&IDs.
• Create quote documents for customers and sales.
• Communicate status and expectations with sales and customers.
• Learn clients’ businesses, needs and cultures to tailor solutions.
• Develop lean processes to improve quality and reduce cost.
• Evaluate quality non-conformances and dispositions.
• Document training for manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Maintain BOM and Routing documents for manufacturing.
• Manage projects from quote to assembly with continuous improvement.
• Perform assembly work adhering to certification requirements.

Job description

The Manufacturing Engineer’s primary responsibility is to work with sales associates, fabricators, engineers, and management to provide Custom Solutions quotation, Bill of Materials (BOMs), routings, and manufacturing documents for assemblies. The Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Custom Solutions Manager.

What you will do:

• Draft assembly drawings using SOLIDWORKS utilizing customer input, spec sheets, and P&IDs
• Create quote documents to be presented to or sent to customers
• Communicate effectively with the sales team and customers on status and expectations
• Continually learn about clients’ businesses, their needs, value add, and cultures
• Develop lean manufacturing processes to improve quality and minimize cost
• Evaluate and provide dispositions on quality related non-conformances
• Develop and document training for manufacturing processes and equipment
• Create and maintain Bill of Material and Routing documents to be used in manufacturing
• Manage projects through the quote and assembly with an emphasis on continuous improvement
• Perform assembly work adhering to strict certification requirements
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Engineering degree required. Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Experience with BOM and routing creation and maintenance
• 2-5 Years Experience with SAP (or similar MRP system)
• SOLIDWORKS, CAD, and P&ID knowledge preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills required

Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to lift, push, pull and carry 50lbs or more. Must be comfortable sitting, standing, walking, squatting, and bending throughout shift.
