Actalent is seeking a 3rd Shift Welding Manufacturing Engineer to support Davenport, IA-based operations from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. This contract role emphasizes hands-on welding, process improvement, and production issue resolution to sustain uptime.

The ideal candidate will have experience with manual and robotic welding, MES troubleshooting, and be able to train operators while maintaining clear documentation and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift Welding Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role requires working from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with overtime and weekend coverage as needed based on production demands. The ideal candidate will provide critical support to ensure the efficiency and productivity of our 3rd shift production operations.

Responsibilities

• Support 3rd shift production operations to maintain uptime and productivity.
• Assist operators, maintenance teams, and salaried staff with production issues.
• Troubleshoot MES (Manufacturing Execution System) issues and both automated and manual welding processes.
• Train operators on processes and equipment.
• Support the implementation and execution of new and existing manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Participate in process improvement and project-related activities.

Essential Skills

• Experience with manual and robotic welding systems.
• Troubleshooting skills for automated and manual manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Work Environment

The role is based on the 3rd shift, requiring work from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM with potential for overtime and weekend work. The position involves hands-on support in a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of production support activities with minimal supervision.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Davenport, IA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47.12 - $47.12/hr.
