Job summary

Steelfabricationcompany seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to coordinate activities in fabrication, tooling, welding, robotics, and mechanical assembly. You will provide engineering support to improve product quality and reduce production costs.

The role involves hands-on work on automation or robotics projects and the ability to write control logic for PLCs and CNC control. You will ensure designs, documentation, and assembly instructions are accurate, maintained and effective.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably with fabricated or assembled products made of steel or steel parts.
  • Experience working in an automated environment.
  • Experience setting time standards, lean manufacturing, line balancing, and process flow.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate automation or robotics projects.
  • Ensure that designs, documentation, and assembly instructions are accurate, maintained and effective.
  • Develop work instructions, designs for assembly fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Promote safe work practices and seek opportunities for improvements in product and process quality.
  • Work with employees to resolve problems and reduce grievances.
