This Position reports to:

Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also define the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve targeted product costs and equipment investment budgets.

This role contributes to the Motion NEMA Motors division in Columbus, MS area.

You will be mainly accountable to:

• Plan and implement engineering projects including equipment, tooling, and process improvements.
• Generate project approval justification through Capital Asset Project Requests (CAPR).
• Manage Capital Projects including procurement, installation, programming, training, documentation, support to production, and provide status reports as required.
• Identify project staffing, assign and oversee specific phases such as technical studies, design, specifications, technical plans, and product testing.
• Review project design for compliance with engineering principles, safety, standards, and specifications.
• Analyze, plan, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
