Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Chicago, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead APQP for a multi-product launch and to build routers/BOMs in a new ERP system (Infor CloudSuite Industrial) live in January. The role requires strong design skills in Inventor, expertise in ERP-based routing, and hands-on problem solving on the shop floor.

You will analyze KPIs, write work instructions, and train floor staff while improving cost data and production processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in a machine shop, sheet metal fabrication, welding or hand assembly environment.
• Lean and Six Sigma—Green or Black Belt preferred; documented project work accepted.

Responsibilities

• Design fixtures and production equipment in Autodesk Inventor.
• Lead APQP on new product launches.
• Own production routers and BOM documents in the ERP transition.
• Analyze process data, production KPIs and manufacturing cost data.
• Write production work instructions and test procedures.
• Submit engineering change notices and provide training to shop floor.

The timing is the interesting part.They are launching a new product roadmap with several new products a year, and they go live on a new ERP — Infor CloudSuite Industrial — in January. You would lead the APQP work on those launches and build the routers and BOM structure in a fresh system, rather than inheriting someone else's.The shop is fully vertically integrated: CNC and manual machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding and hand assembly, all under one roof. When something goes wrong, you walk out to the floor and fix it.
