Job summary

LeoForce in Chicago, IL seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production workflows across CNC machining, sheet metal, welding and assembly. You will design fixtures, develop production routers, and drive efficiency, quality and cost improvements in a fully integrated shop.

The role emphasizes APQP leadership, Lean Six Sigma projects, and collaboration across engineering, operations, and supply chain. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years related experience are preferred; proficiency in Autodesk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• At least 5 years of related engineering experience.
• Experience using ERP systems to maintain production routers and BOMs.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is required.
• Autodesk Fusion proficiency is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing training is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt.
• Mechanical aptitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise CNC programs (Haas VF-4 & UMC-750) using Autodesk Fusion.
• Design fixtures and other equipment for production using Inventor.
• Utilize additive manufacturing to produce fixtures and equipment.
• Maintain and revise production routers and documents.
• Analyze process data to identify improvements.
• Analyze production KPIs and cost data.
• Create production work instructions and test procedures.
• Lead APQP projects and submit ECNs as needed.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects.

Job Details

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Creates and revises CNC programs (Haas VF-4 & UMC-750) using Autodesk Fusion.
• Design fixtures and other equipment for the production process using Autodesk Inventor.
• Utilize additive manufacturing to produce fixtures and other equipment.
• Maintain and revise production routers and other production documents.
• Analyze process data to identify improvements.
• Analyze production KPI’s and manufacturing cost data.
• Create production work instructions.
• Create test procedures.
• Lead APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) projects.
• Submits ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) as necessary.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects

Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced.
• Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to maintain production routers and BOM's.
• Knowledge of CAD and design principles of additive manufacturing.
• Haas VF-4 setup and operating experience is a plus.
• Experience maintaining production route documents is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing training is a plus.
• Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
