Job summary

LeoForce in Chicago, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design and refine production workflows across CNC and manual machining, sheet metal work, welding, and assembly to boost efficiency, quality, and cost performance in a fully integrated manufacturing setting.

The role contributes to new product rollouts, manages product-related data, drives ongoing process improvements, develops tooling and fixtures, analyzes operational data, and collaborates across teams on various projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience.
• Experience using ERP systems to maintain production routers and BOMs.
• Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Haas VF-4 setup and operating experience is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Creates and revises CNC programs using Fusion.
• Design fixtures and equipment for production with Inventor.
• Utilize additive manufacturing to produce fixtures and equipment.
• Maintain and revise production routers and related documents.
• Analyze process data to identify improvements.
• Analyze production KPI and cost data.
• Create production work instructions.
• Create test procedures.
• Lead APQP projects and submit ECNs as needed.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects.

Job Details

Duties & Responsibilities

• Creates and revises CNC programs (Haas VF-4 & UMC-750) using Autodesk Fusion.
• Design fixtures and other equipment for the production process using Autodesk Inventor.
• Utilize additive manufacturing to produce fixtures and other equipment.
• Maintain and revise production routers and other production documents.
• Analyze process data to identify improvements.
• Analyze production KPI’s and manufacturing cost data.
• Create production work instructions.
• Create test procedures.
• Lead APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) projects.
• Submits ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) as necessary.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects

Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced.
• Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to maintain production routers and BOM's.
• Knowledge of CAD and design principles of additive manufacturing.
• Haas VF-4 setup and operating experience is a plus.
• Experience maintaining production route documents is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing training is a plus.
• Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Fusion is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
