Job summary

Grundfos is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes at our Brookshire, TX facility. You will design efficient workflows, implement lean methods, and drive continuous improvement to reduce costs while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred (internships/school projects considered).
• Experience with SAP/ERP or MRP systems recommended.

Responsibilities

• Own continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and workflows.
• Develop and maintain setup sheets, routings, and standards for parts.
• Plan tooling/fixture requirements and apply statistical methods for forecasting needs.
• Implement lean processes and 5S to improve quality, cost, and lead times.
• Monitor production activities and provide training or corrective action as needed.
• Support capital equipment justification and workspace layout for efficiency.
• Assist with EHS compliance and waste management.

What you will be doing:

As a key part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you'll create impact by driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, tooling strategies, and cost savings that directly support our Win in the US growth initiatives.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Assist with the manufacturing engineering strategy to achieve the best quality, costs, and lead times.
• Develop and maintain setup sheets, routings, and standards for new and modified engineered parts across the machine shop
• Plan and execute tooling and fixture requirements while applying statistical methods to forecast manufacturing needs
• Implement lean manufacturing processes and 5S initiatives to continuously improve quality, cost, and lead times
• Monitor daily production activities for accuracy and performance, providing training and corrective action as needed
• Participate in capital equipment justification and assist with workforce utilization, space planning, and workspace layout for maximum efficiency
• Support EHS compliance including proper waste management, incident reporting, and environmental procedures

This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will operate fully onsite out of our Brookshire, TX facility.

Above all, you're a detail-oriented engineering professional with hands-on knowledge of machining fundamentals, strong communication skills, and a drive to optimize manufacturing operations in a collaborative team environment. We’d also imagine that you are/have:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, or Manufacturing with 2+ years of relevant experience (internships and school projects considered)
• Proficiency with PC-based tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with SAP, ERP, or MRP systems
• Basic understanding of CNC programming and editing
• Knowledge of machining fundamentals and lean manufacturing techniques

It’s a plus if you also have:

• Experience with statistical process control and manufacturing cost analysis
• Familiarity with 5S methodology and continuous improvement frameworks
• Experience in a high-mix or precision machining manufacturing environment

The salary range for this position is $73,100 to $112,100 per year. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
